The Platzl Mountain Lounge is your restaurant in Obereggen – Dolomites and in summer as well as in winter the hot spot right at the valley station of the skiing and hiking area Obereggen. As a meeting point and starting point, we spoil our guests from morning to night with fragrant coffee specialities, savoury patisserie and the best from our kitchen and wine cellar. Restaurant

Our kitchen philosophy is simple: we want to surprise our guests every day with fresh, creative and lovingly prepared dishes of South Tyrolean and Mediterranean cuisine. Enjoy creamy risottos, homemade pasta dishes, hearty steaks and delicious fish dishes. Have you already tried our Platzl Burger or the antipasti variation to share? Whether it’s a snack for a little craving or to really enjoy to the fullest, our restaurant in Obereggen is always worth a visit.

Pizzeria

There are many pizzas, but there is only one Platzl Pizza! We devote a lot of love even to the basis, the dough: prepared exclusively with natural yeast, we allow it to rest for at least 48 hours. All the ingredients, from the mozzarella to the spicy salami from Napoli, have been carefully selected and make the pizza in the Platzl, our restaurant in Obereggen – Dolomites something special. In this way, we can guarantee our guests a crispy and tasty pizza experience from the wood-fired oven.

Wine cellar & drinks

We also have the right glass of wine ready for you, with our wide selection of over 100 labels with a special focus on South Tyrol and Italy. We also offer a large range of sparkling wines from the “Cantine Ferrari” (Trento). And if you fancy a gin and tonic, you’ve come to exactly the right place. Selected creations and combinations, from the classic Hendricks to the fruity Malfy.

Or do you prefer to dance with your friends after skiing to the best après-ski hits right on the slopes? In Obereggen we know how to party… and for those who can’t get enough, the party continues until late into the night at LOOX – The Alpine Club at Platzl.

How to get to the Platzl Mountain Lounge:

The Platzl Mountain Lounge is located at 1,600 m right at the valley station of the ski and hiking area Latemar – Obereggen, in the Dolomites at the foot of the Latemar.

In winter you can reach us by car or from Pampeago or Predazzo, comfortably skiing on the slopes of the Ski Center Latemar – Obereggen.

In summer, the Platzl Mountain Lounge is the ideal starting point for various hikes and excursions. Starting directly from the Platzl, you can visit the Latemarium Obereggen by foot or by taking the cable car and marvel at the mountain world of the Dolomites. For mountain bikers, the Platzl is also the perfect departure point for the popular tour around the Latemar or other adventurous bike tours.
